Syslog module

Syslog module is available in version 1.1 (stable) with Centreon 2.x compatibility. This is the adaption from syslogNG old module for Centreon 1.4.x.

Overview

The module syslog makes it possible to visualize in a unified interface the events syslog from a network. Supporting on the database of php-syslog-ng supplied with services such as syslog-ng or rsyslog, this module is now compatible with version 2.0 of Centreon.

Real time monitoring

Syslog database is fed permanently by the service syslog on collector. It is thus possible to visualize in real-time all the alarms gone up by the equipments on networks or servers.

With different filters as "priority", "level", "messages", ... you can search events

Centreon EventLog

The module Centreon E2S is available in version 1.0-RC1. We are tested this module on many Microsoft Windows operating system without bugs. We are interested by your point of view to make a stable version.

Overview

The purpose of this module is to traverse with regular interval the Microsoft Windows events in order to control the latter by rules defined by user. It s' install as a service in automatic starting mode. If one event has correspondence with a rule, service translated Windows event with the format syslog, defined in the RFC 3164 of IETF, then send to a syslog collector defined in the configuration file named "config.ini" in the section [Syslog].

By supplementing this module with the Syslog module available for version 2.0 of Centreon, it will possible for network administrator to supervise all events written in Microsoft Windows.
