Web installation

This step aims to complete the installation of centreon. During this phase the following actions are performed:

  • dependencies check,
  • verification of rights to the directory centreon,
  • creation of configuration files,
  • setting up databases (Centreon and NDO).

In order to proceed to this last step, please go on :

This URL will redirect you in web setup frontend.

  • start of web installation
Step 1

click "next"

  • accepting the licence.
Step 2

to confirm click on "I Accept" then "next".

  • verification of the environment variables for the installation.
Step 3

Attention: using Fedora distributions you have to replace "www-data" with "apache" then click "Next". If you using OpenSuse distribution you must replace "www-data" with "wwwrun".

  • verification ot the php modules and access to the config directory of centreon.
Step 4

while you have any errors install the missing modules and then click "Next".

  • verifications of the PEAR modules.
Step 5

usually all modules should be installed during the first part of the installation so all should be green. Click on "Next".

  • define the MySQL access
Step 6

fill the empty fields: root password, centreon database name, centstorage database name and the passwords. The location of the database is optional as well as the location of the nagios server. These options are only used if you decide to place the database on another server. Attention: if you change the name of the centreon database you later have to modify the contents of the field db_user in the table cfg_ndo2db!

  • test of the MySQL connection

if everything is OK click "Next" otherwise "Back" to modify the access to MySQL.

  • creating an "admin" user

here you enter the information regarding the "super" admin.

  • activating LDAP
Step 9

if you decide to use authentication using LDAP click "Yes" otherwise "No". Then click "Next".

  • creating the config files for centreon and CentStorage
Step 10

If everything is "green" click "Next". Else check the permissions of the etc directory of centreon which has to be writeable for apache. Possibly SELinux is blocking this step so remember to deactivate it, restart the server and repeat the web installation to complete this step.

Then click "Next".

  • creating the database and a standard config.

click "Next".

  • end of installation
